This lists all the changes the authors of this game have made to it since the judging period began, in their own words.
If you'd like to play the game as it existed at the start of the competition, prior to the application of any updates, you may download the full-competition .zip archive from the top of the games-list page.
- October 5, 2:39 PM (UTC): Just a minor cosmetic correction--I discovered that I did not include a response to 'un/locking keylessly the mailbox #9'--if the player uses this action, there is only a blank response. I have corrected it to redirect to trying to unlock (or lock) the mailbox with the mailbox key (if the keyring is within view) or say 'You'll need the key.' (if not). It's really not a crucial correction, but one to avoid irritating judges.
- October 13, 4:01 PM (UTC): Trying this again--I had tried to send this update before, but I think it got lost, because my computer seemed to drop the connection soon after the attempt. Anyway, this update was to correct a problem with 'examining the computer desk'--the way I had it, the parser would lock up, returning a 'stack overflow' problem, the offending line was 'instead of doing anything other than searching the computer desk: try examining the computer desk'. This update adds a couple of words--'instead of doing anything other than examining or searching the computer desk...'--all other actions would simply redirect to examining the desk, which would simply return the description of the desk. Let me know if there is any problem with updating.
